Your counter doesn't needanother bottle of pills.
If your mornings start with a row of pill bottles, a stack of receipts and a routine you can barely keep track of, you're not alone.
Rootwell isn't a supplement, and it won't replace one. It's something simpler: one solid copper bottle, filled at night and sipped at sunrise, with no plastic anywhere near your water.
- One habit, ten seconds a day
- Solid copper, never a steel lining
- Zero plastic touching your water

What to expectfrom your first month.
Not a supplement. A daily ritual, and here's how it settles in.
-
Night 1
Fill it before bed
Plain, room-temperature water, capped and left overnight. Pour your first glass at sunrise. A faint, clean metallic note is completely normal.
-
Week 1
Water comes first
The bottle becomes the first thing you reach for. A full glass of water before coffee, before your phone, starts to feel automatic.
-
Weeks 2–3
Your copper starts to change
Real copper darkens as it's used, so every bottle grows its own patina. Love the look? Keep it. Want the shine back? Lemon and salt, rinse, dry.
-
Day 30+
It's just your morning now
Thirty sunrises, zero plastic bottles. The ritual isn't something you remember to do anymore. It's simply how your day begins.
Is copper safeto drink from?
Yes, when it's used the way it's meant to be. The U.S. EPA sets 1.3 mg/L as the level for copper in drinking water. We had water that sat in a Rootwell bottle for 8 hours tested by an independent lab, and it measured 0.4 mg/L.
Copper surfaces are naturally antimicrobial, which is why you'll find them on door handles and bed rails in some hospitals.
How you use it matters most: plain water only, refilled daily. Acidic drinks like lemon water or juice pull far more copper out of the metal, and so does water left sitting for days.
Copper in your water
mg per litre
The morning ritualshe never forgot.
Every morning, my 87 year old mother-in-law filled her copper vessel with water and left it on the kitchen counter. By breakfast, it was waiting beside her chair.
I used to smile at how particular she was about it. She smiled back and said:
“It helps me remember to drink my water.”
Years later, I caught myself rushing through mornings with barely a sip. I thought of her quiet routine and put a copper bottle on my own counter.
Now it's the first thing I reach for each day. A small reminder from someone I love: sometimes taking care of yourself starts with something simple.
What people sayabout their mornings.
“I love how this bottle looks and feels. The copper finish is beautiful, and keeping it beside me has made drinking water a much easier part of my day.”
Emily Carter, 41Austin, Texas
“It looks even better in person! The hammered copper detail really stands out, and I find myself reaching for it every morning.”
Lauren Bennett, 46Columbus, Ohio
“I keep this bottle on the kitchen table, and it’s become part of my morning routine. The hammered copper looks beautiful, and I love reaching for it throughout the day.”
Jessica Miller, 53Denver, Colorado
FAQs
Is copper safe to drink from every day?
Yes, when it's used the way it's meant to be. Drinking water stored in copper is a practice that's thousands of years old, and the U.S. EPA sets 1.3 mg/L as the level for copper in drinking water.
The rules are simple: plain water only, and refill it daily rather than letting water sit for days. If you're pregnant, or you have Wilson's disease, a liver condition, or any concern about copper intake, check with your doctor first.
Why does the water taste slightly different?
You'll notice a faint, clean mineral note. That's the copper, and it's completely normal. Most people stop noticing it within a week.
If the taste turns sharp or strong, the water has usually been sitting too long. Empty it, rinse the bottle and refill.
How do I know this is real copper?
Look inside. Plenty of marketplace bottles are copper on the outside with a steel lining hidden inside, or copper plating over another metal. Rootwell is solid copper, inside and out.
Two easy checks: real copper will darken over time, and plating won't. And a magnet won't stick to copper.
How long does shipping take?
Orders leave our warehouse within 1–2 business days. Delivery typically takes 5–7 business days.
You'll get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.
How do I clean my copper bottle?
- Rinse with warm water after each use and leave the cap off to air-dry.
- To bring the shine back, rub the inside and outside with lemon juice and salt, rinse well, then dry.
- Hand wash only. Not dishwasher safe.
- Skip bleach and abrasive scrubbers.
What if I don't like it?
Write to us within 30 days of delivery and we'll sort it out. Full details are on our returns page.
Can I put lemon water or hot drinks in it?
No. Plain, room-temperature water only.
Acidic drinks like lemon water, juice and anything fizzy react with copper and pull far more of it into what you're drinking. Alcohol and milk are out too. Rootwell isn't insulated, so skip hot drinks as well.
